- 2007: City of Ottawa Official Plan references expansion of Ev Tremblay park if Humane Society lot goes up for sale.
- November 2012: Deputy City Manager submits plan to Planning Committee recommending Council amend the Preston-Carling Secondary Plan and amend zoning bylaw to allow for the building of Envie towers.
- January 2013: City publishes Preston-Carling District model showing Ev Temblay park expanded across all of 120 Beech St.
- October 2013: City publishes Public Realm & Mobility Study for Preston Carling showing Ev Tremblay Park expanded across all of 120 Beech St.
- May 2014: Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association submits comments on a draft Preston-Carling District Secondary Plan, including questioning why the reference to purchasing the Humane Society Lot was removed without evidence that the purchase was actually ever considered.
- June 2014: Then councillor K. Hobbs propses a motion at council that "the City of Ottawa expand Ev Tremblay Park through land acquisition and potential land swaps options with adjacent development sites."
- July 2014: City publishes Preston-Carling District Secondary Plan with reference to ‘enhancing and expanding Ev Tremblay Park’. Schedule C shows ‘potential’ expansion of Ev Tremblay park into a parcel of 120 Beech St., however no mention is made the in plan itself how expansion of the park will occur.
- December 2015: Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association submits comments to the city on Envie developers’ application for rezoning, criticizing the reduction of off-sets from Ev Tremblay Park.
- March 2019: District Realty submits design plan as part of application to permit the development of new condo at 90 Champagne, abutting 120 Beech St.
- November 2020: City posts a draft New Official Plan for consultation. Plan still references 'enhancing and expanding Ev Tremblay Park,' however the annexed map no longer shows any proposed expansion.
- January 2021: Online petition launched asking the city to expand Ev Tremblay Park.
- October 2021: City approves new official plan, maintaining commitment to 'enhance and expand Ev Tremblay Park.' Annexed map shows one third of property at 120 Beech considered for park expansion.
- Fall 2021: Residents at 120 Beech receive notification the property has been purchased by developers Katasa Groupe.
